1. Martial Arts
We offer a general adult martial arts class that incorporates modalities from all of the other martial arts programs we offer – and all of our students love it. You’ll learn how to practice self-defence properly, have a blast with like-minded people, and break quite a sweat too.
Our basic routine is to condition at the start of class, run through drills and teach new skills, and wrap up with a cool down. You will get sweaty in this class- so if you’re a beginner to martial arts in general and looking for a karate fitness class, our Adult Martial Arts class could be the perfect fit for you.
2. Brazilian Jiu Jitsu
Brazilian jiu-jitsu (BJJ) is a different form of martial art that’s practiced around the world. It involves more groundwork and leveraging your body through physics and motion to fend off an attacker that may be bigger and stronger than you.
BJJ is super popular when it comes to women’s self-defence, too. If you’re looking to work your core in particular, go with BJJ- lots of groundwork = lots of core work! All who desire shredded abs, attend a BJJ class -might be the best martial arts style for fitness for you.
3. Muay Thai and Krav Maga
Muay Thai and Krav Maga will both turn your entire body into a self-defence machine. Our Muay Thai classes are for you if you’re looking to train competitively and fight on the mat. You’ll also learn how to attack with your elbows and knees instead of just punching and kicking.
Krav Maga teaches effective and practical self-defence in a boot camp style, as this form of martial arts was originally developed in the Israeli army for the Israeli soldiers.
Both Muay Thai and Krav Maga are intense forms of training, and you’re sure to get a fantastic workout in each class – the best martial arts style for fitness is dependent on if you want to compete and use elbows and knees, or if you want to focus more on real-life self-defence applications.
